Merecedes Maybach S650 Sets New Luxe Standards

Mercedes has recently unveiled its most expensive car till date. It is an upgraded version of the Mercedes S Class Cabriolet and it is called Mercedes Maybach S650 Cabriolet. However, it looks unique and exclusive. It is a four seater convertible and has exclusively been made for the wealthiest auto buyers from all over the world.

This is a limited edition production as the major emphasis of the brand is on luxury and only 300 of these cars will be out for sale. Buyers will also get a set of luggage made out of the same leather that has been used in the seats.

On the design front, the car has been made available in three different colors. The paint has been specially made and is exclusive to this particular model. For the target buyers in the United States the model will be available in three combinations- Zircon Red with a white and black interior, Cote d’Azur Blue with a white and brown interior and Diamond White with a white and blue interior. It comes with headlights designed with Swarovski crystals. This Mercedes model is a blend of craft and performance.

Moving on to the performance, the speed is likely to reach upto 200mph at par with the likes of Rolls Royce and Bentley. The Mercedes Maybach S650 is powered with a 621 horsepower turbocharged V-12 engine.

Out of the 300 of these cars Mercedes-Maybach will make, 75 will go to the United States. The production is likely to begin next year. Mercedes Maybach Cabriolet has many features that have already been included in Mercedes-Benz AMG SL65 Convertible. It has the warming system, the supple leather swen that makes the intricate pattern on the seat cover and the integral fragrance system.

According to Gorden Wagener, Benz head of design, the Mercedes Maybach has always been about power but this particular model is about luxury, in fact it is the ultimate luxury as per Wagener and therefore the focus has been more tilted towards luxury this time.

Wagner further explained that for the design team the interior of the car is like the haute couture of the automobile so a lot of hard work has gone on the details. The exterior has been another important aspect and has also been given special attention. This model, therefore, has high-end appearance, more chrome, more rich and much more decorative elements.
